Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, high rates of job losses, and unprecedented economic uncertainty, we are seeing the rates of food insecurity rise.

Because your donation to the Walk to End Hunger is more important than ever before, this year's Walk to End Hunger will still happen -- but virtually online.
 

The South Minneapolis Meals on Wheels Team hopes to raise $2020 in donations to update our ability to deliver hot, nutritious meals to our clients in South Minneapolis. This includes updating our current kitchen equipment to ensure food safety.

Complete the required information and don't forget to click "Complete Donation" at the end of your payment information. Every dollar you are able to give is gratefully appreciated.

On Thanksgiving Morning at 10:00 am, a 30 minute program focusing on hunger in Minnesota, an introduction to our partner organizations, entertainment, cooking segments, activities for all ages, and more will be broadcast live on both the Walk to End Hunger YouTube channel, and on the Walk to End Hunger's Facebook page.

Today, on the Covid-19 frontline, our volunteers continue to feed our most vulnerable citizens and help them remain safe in their homes.  Even more so than before, SMMOW may be the only human contact many of our clients see on a daily basis.

​

The virus makes it more cumbersome for us to keep delivering  because it takes more supplies and costs more. And churches that support us are hurting financially.  

​
